As well as Mike's writing and church ministry, Mike is involved in a variety of other projects. Mike teaches life skills through fine arts and martial arts. Mike paints, performs, speaks, teaches and engages in the martial arts. The following links bring you face to face with several of Mike's current projects and collaborations in the arts.

AsbKarate.com       At ASB Karate we work with individuals and families teaching martial arts and self defense. Mike has just opened a new school in Dighton, Kansas. ASB has schools in Dripping Springs and Johnson City, Texas, Nairobi and Lemoru, Kenya, and in Dighton. We believe that karate is not about the kicks and punches  but about becoming a stonger person.


MARS (Mentors Advocating Responsibility and Service)     MARS uses martial arts as an entry point for ministering to victims of HIV and AIDS. This project is currently organizing to increase our overseas involvement and develop more MARS groups.


WatershedArts.com      With the help of Watershed Arts and Garold and Lori Andersen, Mike is developing a Cultural Arts Center in an old church in Dighton, Kansas. The cultural arts center will house arts classes, children and community theater and a variety of classes for the community. The center will preserve the church and serve the community through involvement in the arts.
